Make your Own Elmo Invitations
| ||||||||||||||||||
Lets
look at making some Elmo Invitations!
Elmo is one of the most popular kids characters around today. My daughter loved Elmo when she was One, so we incorporated Elmo into her 1st Birthday Party and you can too - and no, Elmo is not just for 1st birthdays, you can have an Elmo party for any age child. I know some adults that love Elmo and would have an Elmo party (or at least have Elmo Birthday Invitations).
As I like to make my own invitations, I will always suggest a few ideas for making your own first and then give you some alternatives.
For your Elmo Invitations I would get some red Card, cut into half or into 3rds (fold an A4 sheet in half or 3rds and cut on the fold). Then on your PC, if you are good at using a graphics program, or I just use Word, create a new Document. We'll assume you've gone with Word for this one. Use your page set up and have the page orientation as Landscape. Then make 3 columns on your page. In the first column, we're going to either paste a big picture or Elmo that you have downloaded, or several little pictures or some Elmo pics incorporating your little one. This is going to form a back ground. Once you have filled a column, copy and paste it into the other 2 columns and print it out on normal white paper.
You then want to cut the page you just printed into 3rds. You want the red card to be a background to your white page, so there should be a border of Red around your white printed page (you may just have to trim the white paper down a bit).
Then get some tracing paper. Print your Invitation details on it, like: date, time, place etc in Black ink. This can also be done in Word in 3 columns like you did earlier. Although you just want text on this one, no pics. All the pics you want should be printed on the white page. Print out your text pages on Tracing paper and cut to the same size as the white paper.
Paste the White paper to the Red Card and then with some paper fasteners, attach the sheet of tracing paper to the invitation. The tracing paper sits over the white page and should line up with the white page. There you have your very own Elmo Invitations!
Of course, I have created Elmo birthday Invitations for you if this is not your thing. Click Here to check out Elmo Invitations on my printable invitations page. I know that you're probably busy, so this will help you print out some Elmo Birthday Invitations quickly and easily!
