Make your own Carnival Birthday Invitations

Your Carnival birthday invitations can be just about anything you want - there is so much to choose from when it comes to carnival parties for kids. You invitations could be anything from a replica of a ticket, to balloons, to animals, to clowns. A carnival is all about fun, laughter and bright Vibrant colours, so your invitations and your party need to reflect this party mood.

For ticket invitations - print "Admit One" on the front. Include all the details inside the card, perhaps include that the party will be held at (your surname) Fairgrounds (your backyard). Write the child's name on the envelope with primary colours and cut out 2 balloon shapes from coloured paper, paste them on the envelope next to the child's name and add curly ribbon to them.

A cool idea would be to have a ticket stand at your gate when the guests arrive and have them present their carnival birthday invitations (tickets) to you. Make a sign saying "Welcome to the (your last name) Carnival"

Set up food stands instead of just putting your food on tables. Have a popcorn stand and get yourself a snow cone machine and a fairy floss machine (you could probably hire all of these). This is probably not the party for you if you want to serve only healthy snacks, as much as you may not want to admit it, most of the carnival food is junk food. If you're happy serving the not so healthy food, hot dogs, chips and party pies are the way to go.

Make sure you have lots of games and activities set up around your yard, I'd even go with a jumping castle and a clown show.
